Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya loves cycling and it all started with learning to ride a bicycle as a child. Today, on World Bicycle Day, the actress said, "I learned to ride a bicycle in class 3 on the hill slopes of Bhopal. It was like a trial and error for me and my cousin. The first time I found my balance, I was so surprised that in joy I fell and got hurt. That's when I got my first lesson of life from my parents that 'only the lion rider falls on the battlefield'." Divyanka shares some of her fondest childhood memories The actress insists that some of her fondest childhood memories are related to her adventures on a cycle. "My fondest memories are of the school summer vacations when I would cycle to my father's medical store to help him. On one hand, I would get appreciation from his friends for helping him, and on the other, I would stealthily steal my favorite chocolates from the shelf. Thankfully, I was caught in time before I could master the art. To not get banned from the shop and continue my cycling journey, I mended my ways and became a faithful helper of my father," she says happily. Dahiya's adventures on the cycle did not end in childhood, but she remembers a unique incident in adulthood as well. "Once I was returning home on a cycle from a shooting location. A section of the steep road made it difficult for me to move ahead, but before I could stop and catch my breath, a few fans on scooters and cars spotted me. To avoid the jam, I continued to pedal with a polite smile even as my legs begged for a rest. On reaching home that day, when I could barely walk and my thighs were cramped, I felt like a successful person for a very strange reason," she smiles. Dahiya loves cycling, but she says it was cycling that introduced her to the other love of her life - motorcycles. "Cycling is what made me a passionate motorcycle rider today. My thrill of cycling in my teens helped me switch to gear-less bikes during my college days and finally gave me the courage to learn to ride a motorcycle last year," she concludes.
